Women’s Conference 2013
We are excited to announce that our next women’s conference will be held on the weekend of June 1 and 2, 2013, on the beautiful Gold Coast.
This will be a conference with a difference! Rather than having an exclusive women’s-only conference (as in years past), we will be combining with the major national conference planned for the same time. Amongst other things, this means that we will have the opportunity to listen to several excellent overseas and local speakers who will be presenting at the national conference. GCI president Dr Joseph Tkach and Dr Gary Deddo will be among the guest speakers invited. The good news is that they will be bringing their wives, and both Tammy Tkach and Cathy Deddo will be presenting at the conference.
Something special for women
We are planning to make the women’s conference an integral part of this major conference. As well as being able to attend major plenary sessions each day, there will also be a “women’s stream” of electives and breakout sessions. Several of these will be offered, and we are planning that they will be of particular interest to women.
This conference is for all ladies, of all ages and stages of life. As well as participating in a wonderful time of worship, learning and encouragement, the conference will offer many great opportunities for fellowship. One of the most enjoyable aspects of women’s conferences is the cementing of friendships and meeting and enjoying new friends, and there will be plenty of opportunities to catch up and enjoy each other’s company during the various tea breaks and lunches. There is also the possibility that a special outing for interested ladies will be planned for the Monday following the conference.
For those of us with partners, this will really be the best of both world’s – an opportunity to enjoy the conference with them, and also enjoy all the things we love about women’s conferences.
Venue and registration
The venue for the conference is the Gold Coast Conference and Exhibition Centre, cnr Gold Coast Highway and TE Peters Drive, Broadbeach. This is a conference only centre, and does not include accommodation. May I ask that you please do not contact the venue directly.
There are many accommodation options to suit all budgets available within the vicinity of the venue, many of which are only a short distance to the beach. Some information on accommodation options will be sent out shortly, otherwise a search of the internet will give you access to much of the accommodation available in the area. Ladies, if you are attending the conference with friends, why not organize shared accommodation, which would be a much more fun and economically viable option.
The registration cost for the conference is $170 per person.
We would love to have you join us for this wonderful uplifting, encouraging and informative weekend!
Registration forms will be available soon.
